Do you like "Shopping" ? that is a normal question. Even if you answer "No" you have to do that and how would you feel if you have limited time to buy something because shops are only available during your office time? Although you have much money to pay, you can't go shopping because nowhere is open for you. I don't know why many shops in Perth are close five p.m., on Sunday and public holidays even though people live here who are renowned for one of the highest income of Australia. There is demand more than supply why these shops don't reserve their customers' satisfaction.
In my view, shopping hours in Perth close early and some shops don't open on Sunday. Cause people who live in Perth, especially work office hours that hurry to buy everything before they close. The first, most shopping centers in other cities close nine p.m. and open on Sunday. That's not necessary to have shorter time. Many cities such as Melbourne, shopping centers and department stores are open on the weekend. After six p.m., Perth become a sleepy town. Sometime it seems that nobody lives here because most of shops close and there is nothing to do in the city. The second, if the shops extend time, they can make more money and have more customers. According to a report in Thai business magazine, 2010 shopping centers that open until midnight on the weekend can make profit rate rise thirty percent from the same time in last year. Sometime people don't have ideas how to do, the first thing they decide to do is go shopping. The third, people can easily buy everything when they want. A research report from famous university in Australia said that the most favorite shopping centers which Australians want to go that are long shopping hours. Many time people forget to buy something, they often ask why shops close if the shops are open, they'll go to buy there. For these three reasons, I believe that shops in Perth should open longer. There are advantages of vendors and customers.
Some views, this is good period to service customers but there are many benefits which they have more time. Firstly, some people believe the time when they finish jobs and their day off should be family time that they spend time together whenever, some of this time they work and some families go shopping that make cash flow in the city will be strong and have good economics. Secondly, although people have more rest time but they don't need to have a rest of Sunday. If they work on holiday, they might receive extra payment rate. Finally, many people believe that there aren't any shops open everyday, people are punished to travel in Perth tourist attractions. It's another travelling opportunity. But don't forget shopping is one of interesting tour program that most travelers have in their trips and many cities use that are selling point to pull tourists from everywhere to visit them.
In general, shops are service businesses that focus on an opened hour in order to support their satisfying customers. On the other hand, Perth's shopping hours can develop family relation and workers in this business have more free time. It seem that everything is perfect. But in the long run, the business can't make a big profit if they don't extend time, the workers don't increase income and the customers and the tourists don't have anywhere to pay their money for shopping. Finally this cycle can't grow up and become decline, which just adapt proper opening hour and day. This is the best way to hold the most satisfaction of all.
