Martin - iLecture

Nowadays, universities from all over the world are adapting a new method of teaching, which is called iLecture. It is a kind of lecture which can be watched from the university's website. This method of lecturing is convenient for everyone, but why do students still prefer to spend 15-30 minutes to travel to university to attend the lecture? in this essay, I will discuss the benefits for using iLecture, and the disadvantege of not attending a real lecture.
The first and most important reason for students to attend real lecture rather than iLecture is students that use ilecture are more likely to meet less new people or make less friends from the university.  Knowing some people from the university is important, because they are the people that can help you in doing assessment.For example,people that use iLecture could never ask for help regarding the difficulties of assessment,because they don't know anybody from the university that is doing the same unit,subject or assessment.
Secondly,students that use iLecture will cosume a large amount of data.This is also for students to attend real lecture,because recent research stated that 94% of oversea students need to work in order to support the education and necessities. Therefore, students could not afford to have an internet connection, and internet packages are too expensive for indipendent, self-funded student.
Thirdly, students prefer to attend real lectures, because additional information, such as notes written by lecturers will be given out after the lecture. Also , students can ask the lecturer for frurther understanding about the lecture given or ask the lecture for worksheets to do as homework to improve.
All in all, I highly recommend using iLecture instead of attending real lectures , because it has a lot of advantages, downloaded as an mp3 so that we can reply it again and again until we get the point. Studying in comfortable situation , means studying at anytime, anywhere in a relaxed way and for students who are working can have some flexible time to study, for instance. Even though it has some drawbacks studying iLecture, those advantages aren't a big problem.
